I want to thank all of you who attended Sunday’s meeting regarding the high school mission trip to Monterrey, Mexico. What was intended to be a “decision making” meeting, became more of an “informational meeting” instead.

Members of the Oak Hills Leadership team met at the end of last week to discuss new information from military sources about the danger of traveling in Mexico. Due to the military action restricting their personnel permission to travel to Mexico, the leadership team felt that it was not wise for OHC/SM to send a group of students to Mexico this summer. Members of the Oak Hills Eldership also agreed and support this decision.

We informed parents of the decision on Sunday, March 22 and will proceed to seek other options for the summer’s HS mission trip. Please keep our staff in your prayers for open doors and opportunities  for our students to minister this summer.
